240 Acres of the Empire Mountains Now under Lease for Open Pit Mining per SLD

05/14/10  I received an email from Larry Meier, Geologist of the Arizona State Land Department, advising that  the Seel Mineral Lease was signed this week. This is especially frustrating given that I had been in communication with him regarding the CalPort Lease as well as this since at least 4/14/10. After receiving the email, several questions regarding the SLD actions were sent relating to the Army Corps permitting process as it impacts Cal Port and Seel.  Please be assured this issue is being followed and another update will be forthcoming. The Seel application is for 240 acres in Township 17 South, Range 17 East, Section 29 described as SENE NESW E2SESW N2SE SWSE W2SESE.
